A “Moving Calculator” Mobile Estimator
The heart of is the fully integrated mobile estimator, a dual-mode moving cost estimator App that functions on any standard Windows tablet as both a ‘desk’ application with the keyboard attached, and also as a fully touch-based, tablet-oriented, handheld mobile survey tool when turned.
Since much of sales work is ‘office work’, it’s essential to have a sit-down desk environment, with a real keyboard, and a stylus or mouse. Making appointments and scheduling, composing correspondence, answering emails – in short, desk work.
Then, when it’s time for action, stand up and separate the keyboard, turn the display vertical, and the app morphs from a desktop environment into a touch-operated room inventory system, featuring:

A customer-focused sales management environment
Customer CRM Dashboard shows a real-time view of leads, estimates and surveys, sold quotes and follow-up reminders.
Integrated Task Management plays an important role, actively generating reminders and outbound messages based on event dates and times, both internal and external to the company.
Automatic importing brings in website leads, lead vendor referrals, military offer sheets and others directly into the CRM listing for action. From there they move through the life cycle of scheduling, surveying, estimating, providing a PDF quote document, and closing a sale.
Account management functions mean that each salesperson can be given a focused view of their own work and schedule, or can share pooled assignments with other members of a sales team. Various management views of salesperson schedules, active records by status, and overall salesperson performance are available to inform managers and planners.
Professional PDF Document Presentation
Once the article list has been completed, and the estimate is calculated with the internal tariff rating system, the final completed estimate documents are generated as PDFs. The salesperson can generate multiple different versions of estimates for a given move, for example to include full packing or not.
A variety of estimate documents are supported, including simple local-only estimates, more complex multi-day and project-based estimates, correct state-specific documents for PUC-regulated states, DOT-compliant interstate estimating for independent movers, and van-line compliant documents for carrier agents.
Once the estimate is generated, it can be signed for directly on the tablet screen, emailed directly from the app, or printed on paper using a Bluetooth printer.
Finally, the completed estimate record, including generated documents, uploads to your Cloud CompuMove, and is immediately available to other users as needed.
Offers Seamless Operations Integration
Closing the sale of a move is of course just the beginning. The complete detail of the estimate must be visible to the operations department, including anticipated quantities of service and any special notations or operations messages. Original estimate values and documents are retained as the life cycle of the move continues, eventually providing valuable sales management information.
When move day arrives, the dispatch ticket and Bill of Lading job notes will reflect the estimated weight, itemized inventory, expected carton counts, and shipper or job-specific notes as made by the salesperson.
Ultimately, the full record of the cycle is seamlessly preserved as the job moves through operational completion and into billing, commissions, and beyond, with the linked and detailed history of the entire SalesTools function fully engaged.
